That being said, I mostly use Spectrum Noir because they are more in my budget, they aren't as wet and I like the nibs. Okay, as a bit of a generalisation, the 'granddaddy' of all markers is the Copic marker. In this blog, I will show you differences in nibs, brands, papers, and a short introduction on how to use them. I use these same types of markers (which have an alcohol ink base, so they're different from water-based or acrylic-based) with my alcohol ink paintings.
They're used by illustrators in product design, fashion design, automotive design, toy design, architectural design, film and video game production (storyboarding) and more.
You've probably by now seen alcohol ink markers used in adult colouring books, comics and anime like Manga, or with the rubber stamp and card-making crafts, like Stampin' Up.
